Indian womens Hockey havent done as well as the mens team in Olympics and World Cup. Indian womens team has never qualified for Olympics and in world cup, its best result was 4th position in year 1974. The womens team in Common wealth Games, 2002,Manchester, United Kingdon - 1st place. 2006,Melbourne, Australia - 2nd place.
1st afro-Asian games 2003,Hyderabad, India - 1st place. So there's still a lot to acheive...
